My Political Journey
I never paid much attention to politics until right before the presidential election of 2008. After convincing myself that McCain would never accomplish anything with a democratic congress I wasted my vote on the big O. Since then I educated myself, and learned how and why our country was created the way it was, and since then I've been making up for lost time. I've taken it upon myself to educate others who don't normally pay attention to politics. My goal is to teach them why now is the time to see what is going on and help us put a stop to this madness. I'm an active member of the South Lake 912 Tea Party, and have started my own business selling American made, Conservative themed t shirts. I'm proud to say that we are now printing and selling the official t shirts for the CPAC Conventions. The best part of the my t shirt business, is that I have a platform from which to convince other conservatives that the best way we can make a difference is to find those people they know, friends and family members, that aren't paying attention, or lean just slightly to the left, and educate them as well. I know that I made a huge difference in the elections of 2010, and am continuing to get my message out. Last summer I had the pleasure of speaking at one of our Tea Party meetings, and was able to share my strategy, as well as a heartwarming story that speaks volumes about the Tea Party, and conservatives in general. The video quality is pretty weak, and I was unprepared, but if you're interested, here's a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeKejNWvYRw Lastly, I have a project I've been working on that I'm trying to share with others. I've been travelling all over the Eastern parts of the U.S. this year selling my t shirts. I go to festivals where people appreciate American made merchandise. Since I surround myself with patriotic individuals, I am always hearing the most heartwarming stories. I've been compiling these in hopes of finding a good way to share them. The best way I know of to describe them is to call them 'Chicken soup for the patriotic soul.' I've created a group here on Liberty Linked to try and get some people who can help me with some feedback. If you're interested in joining, the name of the group is Focus Group for TV Pilot by My Liberty Threads. I've recently opened a kiosk in a mall for the holidays, so the t shirt business is taking most of my time, but if you decide to join the group you'll be able to see some of the videos I've made (and need feedback on) for my project. Thanks for your interest. Scott Miller
